Where is the best climate on the Earth?

According to International Living Magazine’s 2011 Quality of Life Index, published this January, Zimbabwe ties with the Mediterranean island of Malta for having the best climate on Earth!

Climate is one of nine categories that go into calculating the countries with the best quality of life in this yearly index.  Zimbabwe scored 100% on climate, 75% on leisure and culture and 67% on cost of living.  The crime rate in Zimbabwe was ranked as very low.  The country, however, did not do as well on the economy, politics and infrastructure. “Despite a near perfect climate, you won’t find many expats in Zimbabwe.  Runaway inflation and political unrest aren’t great attractions”.

Victoria Falls in Zimbabve

The Victoria Falls or Mosi-oa-Tunya is a gorgeous waterfall, located on the Zambia and Zimbabwe border. The water of Zambezi river falls down in a straight line for 354 ft (108 m). It is wide ( 5,604ft/1,708 m), therefore water spray raises very high and can be spotted from many kilometers away.

Iguazu Falls in Argentina/Brazil

Iguazu Falls are found on the border of Brazil and Argentina. Not very high (285 ft/87 m), but very impressive: it has 275 cascades, that form a horseshoe and stretch for 8858ft (2700 m).

Angel Falls in Venezuela

Angel Falls is the highest in the world, which falls down uninterrupted for 3,212 ft (979 m). You can visit it in Canaima National Park, which is protected by UNESCO. It is named after its discoverer US aviator Jimmie Angel.

If you’re (somehow) not satisfied by Prague’s own haunted past, venture out to Sedlec, a suburb of KutnáHora in the Czech Republic. Here you’ll find a chapel also known as the Bone Church—and it’s not hard to see why. The macabre structure is estimated to hold the remains of 40 thousand people, many of whom died during the Black Death of the 14th century and Hussite Wars of the early 15th century.

After the abbot of the Sedlec Monastery sprinkled holy soil from Jerusalem across the Sedlec cemetery in 1278, it became one of the most desirable burial sites in Bohemia. But when the site began to overflow with bodies, the local woodcarver FrantišekRint was tasked with arranging the tens of thousands of bones. The final product includes four candelabras, a family crest, six pyramids, and a chandelier, all made entirely of bleached, defleshed human bones.

In the dining room of the Salt Hotel of Bolivia, the salt is always on the table. In fact, the salt is the table.

The hotel was built in 1993 by a salt artisan who saw a mint in the number of tourists looking for places to stay while visiting the flats.The lodge has 15 bedrooms, a dining room, a living room and a bar.

The buildings’s roof, and bar are built of salt and even the floor is covered with salt granules. The walls are made of salt blocks stuck together with a cement-like substance made of salt and water. During rainy seasons, the walls are strengthened with new blocks, while the owners ask the guests to avoid licking the walls to prevent deterioration.
